The ideas that I will own from Harry Wong as I become a teacher is I will become an authority in the first day of class, because I want to manage my class as I am in the teaching profession. Being an authoritarian will help us to influence and mold the behavior of our students.
Harry Wong said that classroom management increased the students level, that's why the teacher is responsible in having a better classroom management. Classroom management will help us to discipline our students and engage the students learning.
On the first day of class it is so important that we must set routines, rules and regulations in managing classroom, because students may be able to know on what are the common things that they need to do. Through the routines, rules and regulations, students will be responsible to their obligations and their actions.
"Implementation is the key to success." As a future teacher, we must be consistent as a classroom manager. Students may be able to know on what they expect every day. This will be the expections of the students every day. As a teacher, we must achieved the learning outcomes and help our students in building their better future and for their successful life. That is why we must "Own it and take responsibility for doing it."
Authority is a crucial thing to take inside the classroom. This is really important, but we must also know the responsibility it takes to be in authority.
ReplyDeleteI love how you emphasized on being authoritative in your class. Some students may not follow you if you don't have the authority in the class. Being authoritative is not something we say. Rather, it is something we project. Excellent job!
ReplyDeleteI hope to see these outcomes you talk about
ReplyDeleteI am agreeing on what on you say on how to manage a class of being authoritarian have a good classroom management, however the most important aside from being authoritarian and being a classroom manager, you must sustain it and continue until the last day of your teaching.
